Sending a Text Message

To send a text message, perform the following steps:

1. At the Jump screen, scroll to and select Text Messages.

2. Press the Menu key.

3. Select New Message.

4. At To, type the contact’s name or number.

NOTE: Your Address Book will attempt to find the correct contact based on what you type. Scroll to and select the desired contact.

5. In the message field, type your message.

6. Scroll to and select Send.

**Please note, at this time you can not add a signature to a text message.**

Reading a Text Message

To read a text message, perform the following steps:

1. At the Jump screen, scroll to and select Text Messages.

2. To expand the message list, select Inbox.

3. Scroll to and select the desired message.

Picture Messaging / MMS

(NOW BUILT-IN ON THE SIDEKICK LX and SLIDE DEVICES!)

How to send a Picture message.message (Sidekick 1,2,3,ID)

• 1. Know your buddies wireless carrier.
• 2. Go to www.hiptools.net/sms and get the SMS gateway
• 3. Now, open the E-mail application and enter in the phone number AND SMS gateway after in the To: Field should look like 5551234567@tmomail.net (or other carrier from that site)
• 4. Attach a picture, and press SEND!

You have now successfully sent a "Picture Message" Through the E-mail Application.

How to RECEIVE a Picture Message.

Have your friend or who-ever is sending the message send it to your device's E-mail account, whether this is your T-mail account or a G-mail account you POP3'd to your Danger Powered device.
