Shouldn't this go in the "Rumors & Gossip" section? It would be nice if this "rumor" had a verifiable source.

eBay, probably. The bumpers are specifically for the Sidekick iD, and the iD will not work in The Philippines.

OK, so I know I'm behind the times, but I just got a sidekick I ... I used to get on AirG from my old Samsung phone using tzones, but the Sidekick doesn't have tzones. I found a url, but when I enter it, a message telling me I can't access that site from a pc comes up. Thats a bummer! I really enjoyed chatting on AirG! Can anyone PLEASE tell me how I can access that site from my Sidekick? Any answers, please send them to bigryk88@tmail.com

AND THE RIGHT WAY WAS PUSHING DOWN FROM THE TOP CORNER OF THE SCREEN TO OPEN IT

What was wrong with the sidekick slide?
but that actually has nothing to do what you originally called in about. the thread is about not being able to receive data txts in a certain amount of size where it turns off correct? if its happening to you do you and others do you think it is the phone or a limitation for the phone? what the issue was before is that the device will sometimes turn off when the screen is opened or maybe closed, whcih is also being investigated and looked into (personally i dont like the slides, i guess thats what you get for letting some1 else make a sidekick other then sharp)

"I keep seeing this ID3v1 and ID3v2 in reference to mp3's for the sidelick. Does anyone knows what this means? I looked it up in my manuel and there is no definition as towards what it specifically means.

Let's learn some basic things about ID3tags:
ID3 is a metadata container most often used in conjunction with an MP3 audio file. It stores info such as the title, artist, album, track number, or other info about the file to be stored in the file itself.
ID3v1
These tags allowed 30 bytes for the title, artist, album, and a "comment", 4 bytes for the year, and a byte to identify the genre of the song from a predefined list of 80 values.
An improvement to ID3v1 was made by Michael Mutschler in 1997. Since the comment field was too small to write anything useful, he decided to trim it by 2 bytes and use it to store the track number. Such tags are referred to as ID3v1.1.
Criticisms and problems
ID3v1 tags were criticized for several problems. One problem was that the fields were too short for most of the data they were meant to contain. 30 bytes is not enough to store long song or album titles, so they would be simply truncated.
The approach to defining the song genre also had obvious disadvantages. Many users criticized the predefined genre list, which did not contain some common genres like minimalist or Baroque.
ID3v2
These tags are of variable size, and usually occur at the start of the file, to aid streaming media. They consist of a number of frames, each of which contains a piece of metadata. In the latest ID3v2 standard there are 84 types of frame, and applications can also define their own types. There are standard frames for containing cover art, BPM, copyright and license, lyrics, and arbitrary text and URL data, as well as other things.
