Unlockable

I just wanted to back up the above story. I just called T-Mobile because I'm leaving the country for a year and T-Mobile in the past has told me that all I need to do is call their Customer Service to get my phone unlocked. So I called and they gave me a code (*#06#) and then the IME number appeared. When I gave the rep this number, he said "oh, you have a Sidekick. Those phones cannot be unlocked at all". So there you have it. 6  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

I don't advocate using third-party unlock solutions, mostly because of the chance of getting burned, but it's the only way to get an unlock. However, looking at cellularclinic.com's site, these guys seem a bit odd, because their site has rather poor English. Not really professional at all. Buyer Beware and all that. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I am neither here to advocate some website reviews and poor english. All I know my Sidekick is working in canada. ofcourse no data plan because rogers does'nt support danger server. cellularclinic.com unlocked my sidekick I am happy. please provide more details how unlocking burned your phone. Do you find this valuable?
